Finding True Love

It was a fa ntastic, elegantly simple wedding, but mega-chef Ed Quimson was rushed to the hospital for a bypass, diva Kuh Ledesma sang the Lord’s Prayer and Evergreen at the wedding rites as 300 old money invitees of Cosmo Manille and sugar royales of the south watched the bride march down the aisle in her pink wedding gown by low profile couturier of the rich and famous, Paching Valera, no less dahlings, niece of legendary alta moda designer Ramon Valera. Rose petals in all shades of pink lined the aisle of the Subic Chapel. Outside, on the grand acacia tree hung hundreds of chimes announcing the arrival of the Lacson royales trooping in bejeweled splendor to the nuptials of their very own Deeda Lacson Garcia, granddaughter of renowned beauty Nelly Lacson and advertising pioneer and golfer Dindo Gonzales. Her parents are flamboyant tycoon Tony Garcia and London-bred Rica G.

Apres the ceremony and declaration of l’amour by the handsome groom, el simpatico Tono Verzosa, the limos queued up at the grand entrance of the Subic Bay Yacht Club. Principal sponsors were hotshot namedroppables like Joaquinito Roces, Ricky Gonzales, Paeng Hechanova, Antonio Marty and Willy Villarama. The dazzling perfume set included Inday Lacson Gabaldon, grand lady of Bacolod Nena Lacson Garcia, Ruby Gonzales, Ditas Chuidian and Elsie Romero. The guests swooned as the groom serenaded the blushing bride before everyone kicked off their shoes at the disco downstairs.

Having a grand time were one-of-a-kind society sisters Riana Hechanova Tajano and Renna Hechanova Angeles with husbands Ramon Tajano and Ed Angeles. Also Rica G’s school gang Conchitina Bernardo, Margie Tambunting, businessman Raffy Villareal and wife perky Girl Lopez V, pba honcho Bobong and wifey Maricon Velez, Trina Delgado Guingona and so many others like them, dahlings, too glamorous and wealthy to mention. To Deeda and Tono, here’s a toast for finding true love somewhere over that gorgeous rainbow. Cheers!

Remember, palanggas, "dedication to Jesus Christ is not a one time choice but a daily challenge." Smile. See you.
