Bobby Novenario celebrated another super year at his Forbes Park manse, which turned out to be a reunion of sorts for the Two Hearts Foundation, headed by
Vilma Valera. Mass preceded the sit down dinner set up in his garden, apres which the perfumed ladies took turns belting out a well-rehearsed repertoire of 60s songs, like
Lorna Quisumbing who sang the immortal "La Vie en Rose".
Helping Bobby organize his big day was
Arlene Arce with hubby

Monette Guevarra. You may not know it, dahlings, but many of the fashionable clothes in high-end stores in London are from the Philippines. The high quality Philippine-made apparel was again on show at the latest exhibit-cum-fashion show held at the Philippine Embassy in London during a new moon, palanggas, billed "PROfil V", with 25 manufacturers and exporters. "PROfil" means pro-Filipino, launched in 1997 by the dti-gteb to promote cutting edge products for the international market.
The UK is now our leading market for garments in Europe, accounting for almost 36 percent of total as of August 2001. A total of 56 buyers attended the London show, and all were enthusiastic about the new offerings. Not bad, huh, palanggas?
Remember, palanggas, "Faith in Jesus Christ will always keep us steady in the stormy sea of change." Smile. See you.
