A piece for all

Write it down: Home Zone, dahlings. Dont forget, because its the new zone for the stylish set and just about anyone who wants a house straight out of a magazine.
A full moon, palanggas, the chic-y set came to launch Home Zone, the small neighborhood of stores that specialize in home interiors and accessories at the 3rd level of Glorietta 4. Six hotshot personalities were asked to style a home setting by freely shopping for the right pieces at any of the 15 stores at Home Zone.
Stylish lady Tina Ocampo mixed rustic symbols with art books and minimalist furniture. Super-stylist Rachy Cuna was a maximalist in terms of the sizes of the pieces he used. Actor Jomari Yllana said "Less is always better" and chose a spacious two-seater, a long low table and three similar flowered vases for accent.
Restaurateur Maritel Nievera set up a "warm spot for tea" with a table covered in white linen and sprinkled with fresh leaves and cut flowers. Kitkat Silverio Zobel describes her setting as "a place for comfort, real living and no inhibitions" with minimal elements and generous space. Teresa Prieto Valdez went all out with everything: color, tone, symbols and just the number of pieces that a small living area can contain.
Ayala Land executives including Miriam Katigbak, Teddy San Juan, Cristy Comia, Cathy Bengzon welcomed guests like Gigi and Angelette Calero, Anton Barreto, popular designers Rajo Laurel and Rhett Eala, Kelly dela Merced of new bath line Fresh, Maita Lichauco, Kashiecas Karen Santos and working rich gal Leah Puyat.
Whether youre a minimalist, a maximalist, a country creature or a fan of modern Oriental looks, Home Zones got something for you.
Members of The Palms Country Club in Filinvest, Alabang previewed the Coco Club, a ClubMed- type activities program for nursery to grade school age kids of members. A colorful burst of balloons and hosts with painted faces greeted guests and showed them into the theme park setting, with a puppet show, arts and crafts room, play gym and much more.
Says The Palms membership head Maitel Cacho, "We want to bring a personalized approach to club culture. We want to indulge our members and their families with fun and spiritually uplifting experiences."
Remember, palanggas, "If we seek Jesus Christ in the minutes, we shall find Him in the hours." Smile. See you.
