Washington and Rolex opened a new point of sale in Manila at Newport Mall, Newport World Resorts. The new 78-square-meter point of sale offers professional expertise in an elegant setting, one that promotes a sense of harmony, discretion and intimacy with the brand. This is their largest Rolex store to date.
Every element of the interior design features the elegant Rolex aesthetic and radiates the values of the Rolex crown. Sensitive lighting accentuates the beauty of a selection of Rolex watches, which are displayed in refined showcases lined with beige leather and finished with bronze trims.
Since its beginnings as a small retail apparel store in Manila’s Chinatown in 1946, the Washington Group has become one of the largest distributors and retailers of premium and luxury brands in the Philippines with over 30 branches nationwide. The group is one of the pioneers of Philippine watch retailing, inspired by the vision of its founder, Ariston Yao.
Present at the opening were Newport World Resorts’ Kevin Tan, Deputy Cultural Attaché of the Swiss Embassy Tim Fürst, Senator Grace Poe, Rolex country manager Brahim Drissi, and president of Washington retailers Inc. Henry Yao. Tim Yap hosted the event.
