Blackwater, Ever Bilena Cosmetics’ personal grooming line, raised a toast to Filipino athletes before they competed at the Philippines-hosted 30th Southeast Asian Games. The brand presented its beneficiaries during a press conference at the Sulo Riviera Hotel in Quezon City.
Ever Bilena Cosmetics Inc. president and CEO Dioceldo Sy said, “I am a sportsman and it makes me happy when I see Filipino athletes succeed in the international arena. That’s why we are giving our support to independent athletes because they are going to compete in the SEA Games practically on their own. I know that these athletes have worked so hard for so many years to bring pride to our nation and, in one way or another, we would like to help them and be a part of their success.”
Among the athletes that Blackwater supported was 25-year-old London 2012 and Rio de Janiero 2016 Olympics swimmer Jasmine Paler Alkhaldi, who delivered a silver medal for Women’s 4x100-meter medley relay category and several bronze medals including Women’s 4x200-meter Freestyle relay, Women’s 100-meter Backstroke and Women’s 100-meter Freestyle at the 30th SEA Games.
The brand also supported wakeboarding national champion Raphael Trinidad, an 18-year-old wakeboarder from Calamba, Laguna, who earned a silver medal in the Waterski and Wakeboard event; skateboarder Jaime de Lange, who won a gold medal at the Men’s Downhill Skateboarding event; and gold-medal winners of Gilas Women Jack Danielle Animam, Afril Bernardino, Gemma Miranda, Eunique Chan, Danica Therese Jose, Mary April Penaranda, Ria Joy Nabalan, Ana Alicia Katrina Castillo, Camille Claro, Maria Beatrice Daez, Marizze Andrea Tongco, France Mae Cabinbin, Janine Pontejos, Clare Castro, Kelli Hayes and Kristina Deacon.
