Popeyes spreads its wings in Manila

I am probably one of the biggest Popeyes fans in this country. There were many times whenever I was abroad that I would bring home Popeyes chicken for me to enjoy.

Ever since it opened its branches in the Philippines, I’ve eaten there countless of times. And good news to Popeyes lovers like me, it opened two more branches — at SM City San Lazaro and SM Manila.

After opening its first two stores in Pasig City and Alabang, Popeyes was once again given a warm welcome with a back-to-back opening of its third and fourth restaurants in Manila.

The two separate launches kicked off with a marching band to give way to the grand reveal of the Popeyes restaurants. Kuya J Group chairman Lowell Yu, COO Gretz Rivera and CFO Francis Reyes welcomed guests to the festive and star-studded celebrations. Celebrities who graced the events included Matteo Guidicelli, Jericho Rosales, Ruffa Gutierrez and daughter Lorin Bektas, Pauleen Luna-Sotto, Max Collins, Alexa Ilacad and Claudia Barretto.

Both stores in SM City San Lazaro and SM Manila guarantee the same delicious Cajun fried chicken that people all around the Philippines are going crazy for as well as its iconic honey biscuits, crab bisque and Cajun fries. Other  must-try treats include hazelnut and white chocolate biscuits, and Popeyes spaghetti, which are all exclusive to the Philippines.

With four stores now open all around Metro Manila, Popeyes Philippines is not about to stop any time soon as it will continue to pop in different areas of the metro. I just hope one will open around the areas of San Juan/Mandaluyong or Makati so it will really be near me!
