Summer came early for Havaianas lovers as the well-loved footwear brand brought its much-awaited customization event “Make Your Own Havaianas” in time for the holidays.
The four-day event, held at Bonifacio High Street in Taguig and Shangri-La Plaza Mall in Mandaluyong, featured this year’s commemorative sole, which is a re-imagined version of the camouflage pattern with banana leaves against a deep blue background.
Also introduced during the event was a commemorative slim strap, which is covered in the same print as the sole and can be matched with several colors.
Part of the proceeds of the commemorative pin exclusive to the collection will go to Save The Children, a non-profit organization that provides relief and support to children in developing countries.

Terry SA founder Anne Arcenas Gonzalez said, “We are so happy that our loyal customers, along with many new ones, came to enjoy the event and customize their Havaianas. We thank our friends in the industry who attended the launch and encouraged many others to visit us. We are also grateful to influencers and celebrities who assembled Havaianas pairs for excited customers during the public run.”

To celebrate the closing of an amazing year, Salcedo Auctions held the “Under the Tree: The Wish List” auction during its year-end sale recently.
The auction saw almost 400 collectible pieces — from fine art, jewelry and timepieces to Philippine tribal art, furniture, rare books, prints, maps and vintage memorabilia like the Ali-Frazier match press kit I desperately wanted.
Among the fine artworks in auction were National Artist BenCab’s Sabel, Lao Lianben’s Zen on My Head that measures four feet on all sides, National Artist Ang Kiukok’s 1970s oil on canvas Blue Table, and a unique 1947 aquarelle by Nena Saguil to commemorate the second anniversary of Philippine independence.

Making an appearance at the auction scene was contemporary artist Leeroy New. His interpretation of a Christmas tree was the focal point of the auction house’s thanksgiving dinner held in partnership with Jo Malone to express appreciation for the support extended by friends in media and select clients. Catering was done by Happy Ongpauco-Tiu.
Each guest went home with a gift from Jo Malone.
