Santuario de San Antonio Parish (SSAP), in celebration of its sapphire jubilee, recently presented Francisfest 2018, which featured the Manila Symphony Junior Orchestra conducted by Jeffrey Solares.

The concert was led by SSAP Parish Pastoral Council president Jun Rodriguez and parish priest Fr. Reu Galoy, OFM. It was organized and spearheaded by bighearted ladies and gentlemen, who, like St. Francis, want to be instruments of peace and conduits of blessings. The concert was held for the benefit of SSAP Foundation’s various outreach programs.

The event started with the singing of the national anthem and a prayer, followed by a speech from Francisfest 2018 chairman Carrie Bautista. She and co-chairman Minerva Tanseco were the driving forces behind the event’s success.

Guests then enjoyed heavenly classical music from the greats like Mozart and Niccolò Paganini, as well as a set of Filipino folk songs arranged for string orchestra. The orchestra also expertly played an ABBA medley to the delight of everyone in attendance.

Congratulations to Santuario de San Antonio Parish and to the organizers of Francisfest 2018 for another successful benefit concert!
