Marco Polo Plaza Cebu (MPPC), led by general manager Brian Connelly and director of sales and marketing Lara Constantino-Scarrow, welcomed the Year of the Dog with a grand affair attended by Cebu City’s leading names from the diplomatic, business and social circles.
The festivities began with a wushu performance by the Talisay Malayan Academy Wushu Club, which was followed by the eye-dotting ceremony. The highlight of the evening was the annual yee sang-tossing ceremony, which was participated in by special guests from the Filipino-Chinese community, including guest of honor, People’s Republic of China Consul General Shi Yong.
The celebration also served as the launch of Café Marco’s gastronomic exploration, the Culinary Impressions of China, a selection of sumptuous Chinese dishes on top of the restaurant’s international buffet spread.
Congratulations to Marco Polo Plaza Cebu for a successful celebration!
