‘Love Amorita’
A morita Resort, the award-winning luxury leisure destination on the southern edge of Panglao Island in Bohol, celebrated its 10th anniversary with “Love Amorita.”
Perched on top of a limestone cliff in Alona Beach, Amorita Resort is the flagship property of One-Of Collection, developed to provide guests a place “for infinite experiences.”
Amorita (which means “little darling”) features 98 luxury suites (including 16 villas), organic modern architecture, two outdoor infinity pools, an in-house dive center and stunning cliff-side views of the Bohol Sea.
The resort food is excellent and there are dining options at Tomar Tapas x Bar and Saffron Restaurant, the only restaurant in Bohol offering authentic Boholano heritage dishes. When in Amorita, please try the sisig quesadillas and the off-menu chicken halang-halang! That’s another thing I love about this resort — the food is excellent and the staff will make what you request for, even if it’s not on the menu!
On the resort’s 10th year, Amorita brought back its 16 luxury villas, complete with a private plunge pool. This year, it also presented two of its new two-bedroom pool villas, which will be great for a family bonding experience.
As part of the “Love Amorita” celebrations, the resort also honored its top travel agents for 2016 in an event sponsored by luggage brand Delsey, The Travel Club, The Primer Group of Companies, Moët and Hennessy, Forth and Tay, AirAsia Philippines and Philippine Airlines. A sumptuous buffet dinner was held to mark the occasion.
Founded by Nikki and Ria Cauton, Amorita marries world-class service with signature Filipino hospitality. It is a Trip Advisor Hall of Fame awardee and Certificate of Excellence recipient for seven consecutive years and was also recognized as an ASEAN Green Hotel Awardee in 2016. Amorita stands as the only resort in the Philippines to earn the prestigious Condé Nast Johansens’ Excellence Award 2017 for Best Service.
The resort expresses its love through its special “Perfect 10” package for guests, designed to highlight the hallmark qualities of the luxury resort and celebrate the diverse range of experiences for which Amorita is known. Available all year round, the “Perfect 10” package includes luxury accommodation for two, daily buffet breakfast featuring the best of Saffron, a delectable paella dinner at Tomar Tapas x Bar, one afternoon pizza at Saffron, and one siniksikan head and shoulder massage for two at Sea Tree Spa. The special package also includes round-trip transfers, nightly mini-bar replenishment, a round of cocktails with the best view of Alona Beach, complimentary Wi-Fi, and free use of bicycles, stand-up paddle boards and kayaks.
Prior to my visit to Amorita, I had not been to Bohol in 10 years. So, this time, I decided to see the best Bohol had to offer. Amorita arranged for me to see the famous Chocolate Hills, the Philippine tarsier sanctuary, the Bohol Bee Farm, the manmade forest, Bohol’s famous churches and the Loboc River. These are such wonderful sights in Bohol and must not be missed.
