Singapore Airlines (SIA) is celebrating the 70th anniversary of its global operations.

The airlines’ year-long celebration started with the VIP launch event at the Showcase and Travel Fair 2017 at Glorietta mall in Makati City recently.

SIA general manager Carol Ong said, “We want to continue doing our best to exceed our customers’ expectations — whether it be more travel destinations, more frequent flights, or more great value deals.”

The Showcase and Travel Fair gave passengers the chance to experience SIA’s newest cabin offering with the most attractive all-in round-trip rates. With 85 destinations to choose from at exceptional rates, SIA provides its customers the perfect opportunity to achieve their travel goals this year for less.

Aside from the attractive promo fares, customers indulged in a wide range of complimentary perks and offerings such as Real zero-percent Installment Plan of up to six months for BPI credit cardholders; upfront $50 Cash Back, an exclusive introductory offer of SGD$25 Singapore exPass that gives access to two of Singapore’s world-class attractions; and a SGD$20 Changi Dollar Voucher, which passengers can redeem at Singapore Changi Airport.

All these exclusive deals were made possible by the airline’s growing network of partner companies, which include BPI, Ayala Malls, Globe Platinum, Changi Airport Group and Singapore Tourism Board.

Oh-sho oishii!

For its third anniversary, Osaka Ohsho, famous for its well-loved gyoza,  held an Instagram party at its Megamall branch recently.

Guests were treated to the restaurant’s newest selections that were locally conceptualized and made with just the finest ingredients.

Served at the event were sumptuous dishes with cross-cultural flavors including the Truffle Gyoza, Chori Gyoza and Japanese Paella.

A hipper, fresher version of the crowd favorite Nori Nachos was introduced at the event. The combo of deep-fried battered nori sheets topped with gyoza meat, Japanese mayonnaise, furikake and bonito flakes left guests craving for more.

New menu items such as Matcha Butter Tonkatsu, Salmon Cheese Aburi, Gyoza Tantanmien and Black Pepper Gyudon were also served to guests.

A first for Gary

Catch Anna Fegi live as she is set to appear as the very special guest at Gary Valenciano’s Valentine’s concert titled Love In Motion tonight and tomorrow at the grand ballroom of Shangri-La at the Fort.

Anna, a three-time Awit Award winner and a recipient of two Aliw Awards, recently performed with Grammy winner Patti Austin. Her special performance in Love In Motion marks Anna’s very first mainstream and major performance in Manila this year. This concert is Anna’s first major collaboration with Gary Valenciano on the concert stage.

“I have performed with Gary during my days with ASAP but this time it’s different because Love In Motion is a major Valentine’s concert. I am counting the days and I am very excited,” Anna said.

Love In Motion is Gary V.’s  very first solo Valentine’s concert in over a decade. It also offers a must-see concept as this marks the very first time that Gary will perform with a big band — a type of musical ensemble associated with playing jazz music. Expect a fun, dance-inducing time as Gary and Anna perform with the 19-piece AMP Band under the musical direction of Mel Villena, vocal musical direction by Mon Faustino and stage direction by Paolo Valenciano.

All proceeds of Love In Motion will go to the Shining Light Foundation Inc., Operation Blessing Foundation Inc. for the benefit of victims of the recent typhoon Nina and UNICEF for special causes of children.

Love In Motion is supported by ABS-CBN, Sky Cable, Myx, Jeepney TV, Cinema One, ASAP, Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids, One Music PH, Biogesic, Novuhair, The Philippine STAR, Crossover, DCG FM, Sound Check, Gold’s Gym, Jollibee, Alaska, GAOC, Toni & Guy and Universal Records.
