Family and close friends gathered at the formal affair to wish the beloved couple more years of marital bliss and good health.

Guests at the wedding anniversary party enjoyed a sit-down dinner catered by Asia’s Best Female Chef for 2016 Margarita Fores. Award-winning singers Martin Nievera and Zsa Zsa Padilla provided stellar entertainment.

Silken Voices

As part of its second anniversary celebration, Marco Polo Ortigas Manila is all set to bring its guests to a journey to remember on April 18, 6 p.m., at the hotel’s Grand Ballroom.

Called “Silken Voices…Silken Roads: The Marco Polo Musical Gala Night,” the hotel’s grand affair will consist of three elements — music, culinary and fashion — commemorating Marco Polo’s 24-year journey along the Silk Road.

It will be a night full of discovery as singers Francisco Aseniero and Gerphil Flores with the Philippine Opera Company, led by musical director Floy Quintos, bring the guests to different places in one night with selections from Western to Eastern music.

The evening would not be complete without indulging in a banquet of savory dishes featuring the hotel’s own rendition of the set menu based on the legendary Venetian explorer’s travels.

Rounding up the soulful music and gastronomic treat is a feast for the eyes — elegant and intricately-designed pieces from fashion designer Renee Salud that highlight the cultural interaction between the regions that were part of the Silk Route.
