The brilliant and creative brothers behind the Lucerne Group, managing directors Ivan and Emerson Yao, hosted a fabulous affair to highlight the prestigious and universal timepiece brand, Longines.

The red-letter day started with the inauguration of the country’s very first Longines boutique at the posh SM Mega Fashion Hall. Longines vice president and head of international sales Charles Villoz and regional sales and marketing manager Claude Jaunin flew in all the way from Switzerland for the momentous occasion.

It was also the Manila debut of the watch brand’s newest “Ambassador of Elegance,” Asia’s new generation action hero Eddie Peng. He briefly spoke about the renowned Swiss watchmaker’s reputation of timeless elegance and superior performance.

Since the timepiece brand is known for its involvement in equestrian sports, executives from Longines and Lucerne planned an afternoon of horse show jumping for special guests Swiss Ambassador Ivo Sieber and his statuesque wife Gracita and other notable personalities from the business, diplomatic, social and media circles.

The atmosphere was light as guests, suited up in afternoon glamour, sat comfortably in a plush white-and-blue tent setting made more divine by white blooms and topiaries. Champagne overflowed to match the specially prepared cocktail fare, pasta and desserts as guests were delighted by the show of thoroughbreds and their riders who are some of the finest equestrians in the country.

Congratulations to Ivan and Emerson Yao for hosting such a fantastic event!
