Belo turns 25

In celebration of Belo Medical Group’s 25 years of beauty expertise, the company opened its new clinic at The Block in SM North EDSA. To coincide with its opening, the Belo Collagen Powder Drink was introduced with celebrity Marian Rivera talking about its benefits.

Before Marian answered questions about her new favorite Belo product, Dr. Vicki Belo and Cristalle Belo Henares showed us the clinic’s private rooms. The mother-daughter tandem also presented the latest machines for fat reduction and facials. Nutritionist Nadine Tengco also prepared juices and soups that contained the collagen powder drink.

At the event, Marian revealed that the Nutraceuticals Collagen Powder Drink is what keeps her looking young! She takes it twice a day — one in the morning, usually mixed with coffee; and the other one at night with her dinner soup or juice.  She said, “Having beautiful skin is very important to me, especially now that I am fond of posting (my pictures)  in social media. Quest for a Legend

To mark the 140th anniversary of Louis XIII, widely considered as the “King of Cognacs,” the brand launched “Quest for a Legend” — a worldwide search that seeks to find hidden decanters of distinctive value. The search aims to bring to the fore the rarest, most unique and best preserved Louis XIII decanter in existence.

The House of Louis XIII, which started the global search in Singapore, Malaysia, India and the Philippines, invites private collectors in the country to unveil their treasures in the first ever quest to discover its rarest bottle.

Hosted by Rod Nepomuceno, the search was launched at the Tasting Room of City of Dreams Manila. Present at the dinner event were Marie-Amelie Jacquet, fourth generation of the owning family of Rémy Martin, Rémy Cointreau International  regional director for Louis XIII Christophe Bourrie and City of Dreams Manila COO  Kevin Sim.

The owner of the rarest decanter found in Singapore, Malaysia, India and the Philippines will win the grand prize — a visit to the Rémy Martin Estate in Cognac, France, inclusive of two round-trip Business Class tickets.

The bottle must be unopened, with at least 50 percent of original liquid, which will be verified by the House of Rémy Martin.

Louis XIII collectors in the Philippines who believe they have in their possession the rarest Louis XIII decanter are encouraged to send details and photos of their Louis XIII bottle to the local Rémy Martin office or via SMS and WhatsApp. Entries to the contest can be submitted until March 31.

2015 is ‘Visit the Philippines’ year!

The country’s stakeholders in the tourism industry joined forces at the Travel Tour Expo 2015 held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. All were united for “Visit the Philippines Year (VPY) 2015,” the yearlong invitation from the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) for everyone to discover the country’s best destinations and events.

Organized by the Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA), this year’s Travel Tour Expo was by far the biggest in its 22-year history, with nearly 300 exhibitors from hotels, airlines, resorts, domestic tour operators and travel agencies.

Tourism Undersecretary for Tourism Development Benito Bengzon and TPB chief operating officer Domingo Ramon Enerio III led the ribbon cutting with the Travel Tour Expo 2015 organizing committee, PTAA board of trustees and other guests. Bengzon praised PTAA’s efforts in opening new gateways in the country to promote domestic tourism.

A cultural performance of San Pablo Dance Troupe kicked off the opening festivities. During the expo, TPB presented VPY 2015 with a booth featuring delicious treats and images that showcased the country’s colorful festivals and must-see events. Several exhibitors also signed up to support the campaign through the Visit the Philippines Year 2015 microsite www.visitph2015.com.
