Pacific Rim Innovation and Management Exponents Inc. (Primex), a leading 100-percent Filipino management consulting firm, celebrated its 25th anniversary with cocktails at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria in Ortigas.
About 300 guests joined Primex chairman Jose “Joey” Leviste Jr. and president and CEO Elvira Ablaza in marking an important milestone in the company’s history. Present were officials from various Philippine government agencies; officers and staff of development agencies, such as the Asian Development Bank, USAID and the Millennium Challenge Account-Philippines (MCA-P); as well as partner organizations, consultants and representatives of Filipino consulting associations.
A ceremonial toast by the guest of honor Civil Service Commission chairman Dr. Francisco Duque III capped the evening’s silver anniversary program.
Primex retained its No. 1 ranking among Filipino consulting firms engaged by the Asian Development Bank to implement technical assistance projects over the five-year period from 2009 to 2013. That’s no mean feat!

A woman of kindness
PGH Medical Foundation Inc. corporate secretary Lolita Escobar-Mirpuri celebrated her birthday recently at the Muebles Italiano showroom in Paseo de Magallanes in Makati City.
Lolita is the epitome of kindness and charm. Her willingness to help others has made a lot of difference in the lives of the less fortunate who cannot afford decent hospitalization. She is a multi-awarded civic leader, a national and six-time international president of All Nations Women’s Group and a fine woman of grace with a good sense of humor.
Lolita was serenaded by tenors Jonathan Badon, Al Dresden Ramos, soprano Fame Flores and Muebles Italiano president and CEO Noel Gonzales, who also did a mean Argentine tango with 2005 Blackpool England World Senior Latin champion Ednah Ledesma.
Special guests at Lolita’s party were South African Ambassador Agnes Nyamande-Pitso, Turkish Ambassador Esra Cankorur, former health secretary Dr. Esperanza Cabral and PGH Medical Foundation Inc. chairman Dr. Greg Alvior.
