Joel’s twins turn two!

The second birthday of Filipino perfume icon Joel Cruz’s beloved twins, Prince Sean and Princess Synne, created quite an excitement among the well-wishers present. The Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila’s fully air-conditioned Tent was transformed into a fantasyland festooned with anything giant, colorful and round, with clowns, jugglers and living statues to the delight of the little ones and their guardians.

The party was a double celebration as Joel’s beloved mom Milagros also celebrated her 86th birthday that night.  Joel, president and CEO of Aficionado Germany Perfume and Joel Cruz Signatures, was especially thrilled to have Vice President Jejomar Binay, his wife Elenita and their daughter Sen. Nancy Binay among the jubilant guests.

The lovable twins were simply adorable at the party. We can understand why Joel can’t wait to go home after a busy day at work! Tea for Tango

The breathtaking spaces of the newly refurbished Lobby Lounge of EDSA Shangri-La, Manila were revealed to the guests of the hotel’s very first Tea for Tango event.

EDSA Shangri-La, Manila general manager Patrick Schaub regaled guests with a surprise tango performance with Ednah Ledesma as he gave his opening remarks, beginning the event on a high and exciting note, observed EDSA Shangri-La, Manila director of communications Cristina del Carmen. An afternoon tea parade ensued, starring beautiful Lobby Lounge attendants carrying gilded birdcages of afternoon tea treats, after which they performed a sultry tango number of their own.

Ledesma, a grand-prize winner of the Latin Dance Senior Category of the Latin Blackpool Ballroom Dancing Competition, led a cast of tango maestros and Latin dance experts in a four-part program that featured the many faces of tango from all over the world.
