An evening of music, laughter, beauty, fashion and charming mementoes was had by everyone at your columnist’s birthday celebration held at the Mayuree Ballroom (the new name for Dusit Thani Manila’s grand ballroom).
Among my well-wishers were Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario and his lovely wife Gretchen, Ambassadors Massimo Roscigno of Italy, Toshinao Urabe of Japan, John Gomes of Bangladesh with his wife Thelma, Thomas Ossowski of Germany and Julio Camarena of Mexico with his wife Ana Maria, Ambassador Jesus “Chuching” Tambunting and wife Marge, Sen. Cynthia Villar, Dr. Elenita Binay, retired Chief Justice Artemio Panganiban, Banco de Oro Unibank Inc. chairman Tessie Sy-Coson and SGV & Co. founder Washington SyCip.
We are entirely indebted to our guests for their kind presence. Indeed, more than writing reports on a party and the guests (which my readers anticipate), the fact that your columnist was able to provide a speck of humor and vibrancy to many an evening social gives me so much pleasure — and this is a good enough present.
Our deepest thanks also goes to Dusit Thani Manila, Philippine Hoteliers Inc. vice chairman and president Evelyn Singson, Dusit Thani Manila general manager Alex Willats and our generous sponsors Titania Wines, Rustan’s L’Occitane, Aficionado Germany Perfume, Beabi, Laneige and Van Laack.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!
