Where to find ‘Sofa Art’
Kuka Home, one of the largest sofa enterprises in Asia, opened a new store at the fourth floor of SM Megamall.
Seen at the launch were Bacoor City, Cavite Mayor Strike Revilla, Kuka Home Philippines owner and Muebles Italiano president and CEO Noel Gonzales with his lovely wife Eileen, Kuka managing director Ton Gonzales and PGH Medical Foundation Inc. chairman Dr. Greg Alvior.
Since it started 20 years ago, the high-quality furniture brand has beaten growing competition, ranking No. 1 in the Chinese sofa market share. Kuka is credited to be the first sofa manufacturer that created “sofa craft†that called for every sofa to be made like a handicraft, involving a total of 142 production processes before coming out as a finished product.
Since 2007, Kuka has entered the international furniture scene, establishing branded stores in many countries like the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Russia and Vietnam. The brand now has over 1,500 branches worldwide.
Congratulations!
(Other Kuka Home branches are located
at the fifth floor of Muebles Italiano in Paseo de Magallanes and at the ground floor of SM North EDSA.)
Dining with friends
A meal is always better when it is shared among friends. Your columnist was lucky enough to experience such delight during an unusual yet very appetizing dinner of delicious dim sum and other satisfying dishes with an inspiring group of dear and newfound friends, who are leaders in their own endeavors.
Great food, great conversation — what better way to spend an evening!
A day of gratitude
Loved ones and close friends gathered at the Makati Shangri-La for the hearty thanksgiving dinner hosted by the endearing Baby de Jesus.
Being the generous woman that she is, Baby organized the said gathering as her way of sharing her blessings.
It was indeed a wonderful evening as everyone shared fond stories about the gracious hostess while enjoying the sumptuous food specially prepared for the occasion.
Until the next dinner, Baby!
A night to remember
Captivated by the sophistication and elegance of a professional musical ensemble was a group of cultural supporters and enthusiasts led by the lovely Minerva Tanseco (seated, third from left).
The night’s merriment was in honor of birthday celebrant, Chichi Laperal (seated, second from left), who was in good spirits and in great company.
Taking part in this memorable occasion were (seated, from left) Lulu Castañeda and Letty Hahn; (standing, from left) FEU cultural director Martin Lopez, Hoseki artistic director Knoi Esmane, Munich-based American director William Barkhymer, BDO executive Maurice Lim and art consultant to UP Boysie Villavicencio.
Capping off the evening’s festivities was a wide selection of delicious food at the midnight buffet of Diamond Hotel.
Here’s to more cultural shows and exciting escapades for you and your group, Minerva!
