Claiming its rightful spot as the leading and biggest resort group in the island paradise of Boracay is Henann Group of Resorts under the brilliant leadership of chairman Dr. Henry Chusuey.

A much anticipated and well-deserved event was organized to formally announce the rebranding of Henann properties at the world-renowned tourist spot. Formerly known as the Boracay Garden Resort and the Regency Lagoon Resort, your vacation homes away from home were officially proclaimed as the Henann Garden Resort and the Henann Lagoon Resort respectively.

This momentous event, held at the Maynila Ballroom of the Manila Hotel, was attended by noted and respected individuals from the diplomatic, government and business circles including Thai Ambassador Prasas Prasasvinitchai, Senate President Franklin Drilon, Iloilo City Rep. Jerry Treñas, Panglao, Bohol Mayor Leonila Montero and Philippine Travel Agencies Association president John Paul Cabalza.

Formally launched at the same affair was the company’s latest venture, Henann Resort Alona Beach, a 400-room luxury resort situated at the longest stretch of white sand in Alona Beach in Bohol and is set to open by the fourth quarter of 2014.

Graciously welcoming guests to the elegant affair were Henann Group of Resorts vice chairman Anna Lissa Chusuey along with her children, executive vice president Alfonso Chusuey, vice president for marketing Karl Chusuey and the charming Christina Chusuey.

Guests were treated to an array of sumptuous dishes and overflowing drinks. A stunning fashion show that featured the resort wear collection of Boholano designer Mikee Andrei from the Fashion Institute of the Philippines added more color to the remarkable evening. An exciting raffle draw with prizes consisting of hotel and resort accommodations and roundtrip airline tickets and the awarding ceremony for the Henann Garden Resort’s top producers, were among the most awaited parts of the program.

A spiritual journey

A unified group of friends from different organizations such as Zonta Manila I, Society of St. Expeditus and “Everybody’s Group” recently came together and, through meaningful hours in prayer and peaceful reflection, made time for a holy recollection.

Led by Minerva Tanseco, this year’s annual gathering was held at the convent of the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary in Tagaytay. Former parish priest of Santuario de San Antonio in Forbes Park, Fr. Tony Rosales, OFM facilitated the religious retreat.

The amazing view of the Taal Lake and volcano provided the perfect atmosphere of serenity and enlightenment, which allowed everyone to collect their thoughts, be at peace and most importantly, focus on their devotion to the Lord and His presence in their hearts.

Nothing compares to being in good company while experiencing a remarkable and spiritual journey of faith.
