The invitation stated “…a reason to dine, a reason to enjoy good company and wine…†But there was actually a deeper reason that prompted us to be at the birthday party of Wilcon senior executive vice president and chief operating officer Rosemarie Ong: to join in a good friend’s celebration of notching another year of blessings.
Our friend Rose, who is a beautiful person inside and out, was with her mom Gin and brother James, her husband Antonio and son Amos Timothy as she celebrated that delightful evening. She shared the moment with her work associates and friends over a splendid dinner at the Greenmeadows Clubhouse in Quezon City.
Here’s to more years of good health and happiness, Rose!
US envoy’s despedida at Camp John Hay
A farewell golf tournament, which doubled as a despedida party, was held at the Camp John Hay Golf Club in Baguio City for the well-liked former US Ambassador to the Philippines Harry Thomas Jr. The friendly game and luncheon tribute was hosted by Camp John Hay Group of Companies, led by its chairman and CEO Bob Sobrepeña, executive vice president and COO Boysie Yñiguez and director Peng Perez de Tagle.
The sumptuous lunch buffet created by Camp John Hay Manor Hotel master chef Billy King was enjoyed by the VIP guests that included Baguio City officials, congressman Nicasio Aliping Jr., Mayor Mauricio Domogan and Vice Mayor Daniel Fariñas, Ret. Vice Admiral Mateo Mayuga of the Philippine Navy, PeopleAsia publisher Babe Romualdez and multinational executives.
It was a lovely afternoon filled with fun and fond memories with the amiable US envoy. Bob Sobrepeña emerged as the tournament champion.
We heard our friend Harry has accepted a teaching fellowship in a university in Arizona.
Good luck and God bless!
