Sulit pays it forward

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - “Paying it forward” was how executives of the country’s top buy-and-sell website Sulit.com.ph described the affair where the company turned over proceeds of its recent fund-raising activity to humanitarian organization World Vision. The donation is part of a program that the website undertook in partnership with select bloggers, in line with its “Ibenta Mo Na!” campaign.

Sulit.com.ph co-founder and managing director RJ David said, “Our tie-up with World Vision started in 2011 and I’m positive that there will be a lot more activities still in store under this partnership. We share the same principle of giving back to the community and we salute World Vision for the exceptional job it has been doing to build a better world for children.”

World Vision associate director for national resources development Jun Godornes thanked David and said he looks forward to the day when organizations like World Vision will no longer be relevant because every Filipino child would have been given access to proper education.

Aside from this recent fundraising activity, Sulit.com.ph has an ongoing scholarship program since September 2011 for 11 kids under World Vision.
