MANILA, Philippines - Our country has an abundance of agricultural lands. If some of these lands are improved, they may become profitable.

Calata Corp., one of the biggest distributors of agrichemicals, feeds and fertilizers in the country, flew guests to Cauayan, Isabela recently for the launch of state-of-the-art agriculture machinery.

With the beautiful farmlands of Isabela as backdrop, Calata Corp. president and CEO Joseph Calata, with its new partner Siembra Directa Corp. led by its head Nico Bolzico, showcased the latest farming technology that can be used and promoted to support agricultural production.

Those who attended the event were representatives from the Department of Agriculture, local government and farmer groups, media, as well as key business partners from the banking and agri-business sectors.

The partnership between the two companies aims to be the catalyst in revolutionizing the agriculture industry by making it more attractive and profitable for the next generation of farmers.
