A night of theatrical pleasures was recently staged at Tosca Italian Grill, the home of bestselling seafood and steak dishes and award-winning wine collections located at the mezzanine level of Dusit Thani Manila.

Inspired by Giacomo Puccini’s famous opera La Tosca, the evening had fellow gourmands raving about the five-course Northern Italian dinner orchestrated by executive chef Christian Werdenberg. 

The set menu featured an intense lineup of savory Italian dishes: new style vitello tomato, slow-roasted veal tenderloin on tuna sauce, Toscana-style white bean soup with sautéed scampi tail, risotto with smoked scamorza, sorbeto, grilled beef medallion alla cacciatore, gratinated pasta and asparagus, and chilled sabayon with marinated oranges served with a variety of Bolla wines.

The evening became more pleasurable with guest tenors who performed light arias and Broadway classics.

Novamobili, which means “new furniture” in Italian, unveiled its collection of 100-percent Italian-made furniture impeccably designed for modern living at its new showroom, its seventh branch in Asia, at Building 6 at Bonifacio High Street in Taguig City.

The Italian furniture house, established in 1967 by Alfredo Battistella, combines cutting-edge and environment-friendly technology with manual processes to ensure top quality products like its Sissi armchair and table, Pigreco table and the Hilde chair.
