String Connections
MANILA, Philippines - The Filfest Cultural Foundation, sponsored yearly by Insular Life, opens its sixth Concert Season Series with String Connections featuring guitarist Ramoncito Carpio and the Manila Symphony Orchestra.
Carpio will perform Astor Piazzolla’s Primavera Porteña, Francisco Tarrega’s Fantasia on themes from La Traviata, Agustin Barrios’ La Catedral and Carlo Domeniconi’s Koyunbaba. Concierto de Aranjuez by Rodrigo will be performed with the Manila Symphony Orchestra, as well as Respighi’s Ancient Airs and Dances No. 3 for lute transcribed for string orchestra, Erik Satie’s Gymnopédies 1 and 2 for orchestra and guitar with dance interpretation.
Experience this on April 6, Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Insular Life Auditorium of the Insular Life Building in Filinvest Corporate City.
