Hail the Moon goddess!
The annual celebration to welcome the traditional Moon festival held at the Mandarin Oriental Manila’s MO Lounge was a huge success once again. This year’s mid-autumn celebration centered on a sumptuous lauriat dinner prepared by Tin Hau’s master chefs led by executive Chinese chef Hann Furn Chen. The celebration was highlighted by an auspicious paai shan ritual to augur positive chi energy, a colorful lantern-lighting ceremony officiated by renowned geomancer, master Joseph Chau and performances by the Chiang Kai Shek College cultural ensemble. The traditional fun mooncake game “Pua Tiong Chiu” capped the night’s festivities.
Mandarin Oriental Manila hotel manager Oliver Kreuzer was joined by his lovely wife Jocelyn and director of communications Charisse Chuidian in welcoming the VIP guests, among them, Chinese Embassy’s First Secretary and Consul Feng Shao Lin, Chiang Kai Shek College president Dr. Bee Ching Ong and stem cell specialists doctors Rex Gloria and Christoph Ganns.
The guests simply could not have enough of the hotel’s homemade, oven-baked and snow-skin gourmet mooncakes!
Forever young
For Fila Philippines president and general manager Cris Albert, age will always be just a number. What matters to her is her positive outlook in life that continues to flourish.
Recently, she celebrated her special day in her residence at The Fort in Bonifacio Global City. Family and friends, clad in chic cocktail outfits, gathered to wish the lovely celebrator all the best that life can bring.
Buffet treats plus flowing drinks complemented by stunning floral confections and arrangements made the celebration even more remarkable as Cris welcomed another year filled with all the positive vibes and hearty laughter with friends.
Aside from her friends, loving husband Butch Albert, her sister Ana Abad Santos and good pal JM Rodriguez sang songs to convey their message for the celebrator.
Happy birthday, dear Cris! Cheers to more youthful years!
