Enjoy a rewarding life as Citibank unveiled its new plastic currency, the Citibank Rewards Card, during a lunch with business and media partners at Sala Bistro in Makati City. The card offers free movie passes year round, generous shopping rebates and waived annual fees.

Citi country officer for the Philippines Sanjiv Vohra said, “Citibank has been a pioneer in the rewards arena since we issued our first plastic, and we are all excited to be raising the bar anew in the industry with this new card for the benefit of the Filipino consumer.”

Patti Grandidge and Cliff Ho hosted the program as guests feasted on the great lunch prepared by Colin Mackay.

Citibank Philippines consumer business manager Sergio Zanatti talked about the bank’s leadership in the credit card space, while credit payment products director Bea Tan explained the features of the new card. The new Citibank Rewards Card offers five percent rebates at Aldo, Aldo Accessories, Celio, Charles & Keith, Giordano, Marks & Spencer, Nike Park, Pedro, Runnr, Toby’s, Topshop, Topman, Urban Athletics and Zara. It also comes with rebates at all department stores — as much as three percent at The Landmark Department Store, Metro Department Store, Rustan’s Department Store and SM Department Store and one percent rebate for all other department stores. The new card offers a free P100-movie pass for a minimum single-receipt purchase of P2,500 anywhere. Even online and international transactions are qualified to earn movie passes. The Citibank Rewards Card waives annual fees for principal cardholders who spend at least P20,000 per month, or P240,000 within their year of membership. The first three supplementary card members are free when they each make purchases at least six times every membership year.

Citibank’s partners from SM Cinema, SM Retail, Rustan’s Department Store, Robinsons Movieworld, Walter Mart Cinemas, Zara, Marks & Spencer, Pedro and Aldo also joined in welcoming the new Citibank Rewards Card.
