It was a night of many a thankful heart.
The Bellevue Hotel, southern metro’s towering symbol of excellence in hospitality, led by The Bellevue Hotels & Resorts (BH&R) managing director Patrick Chan and corporate director for marketing and communications Ryan Chan, recently welcomed the hotel’s top corporate account clients for a thanksgiving party at its Grand Ballroom.
Representatives of various major conglomerates gathered for a fun hat party, where they also received plaques of appreciation for being loyal clients of the hotel. Exciting games kept the guests entertained during the party. Singer Christian Bautista serenaded the guests as they enjoyed the hotel’s scrumptious cuisine and warm service.
Congratulations to Patrick, Ryan and the hotel’s highly-efficient team for another magnificent event!

Sumptuous southern treasures
Cebu, more than just being the Queen City of the South, is inarguably one of the country’s finest treasures. With its breathtaking sights, genial people and unique culinary treats, Cebu holds a lot for anyone who is up for anything and everything that’s beyond ordinary.
Recently, Marco Polo Plaza Cebu, led by its hardworking GM Hans Hauri and culinary consultant Jessica Avila, opened its doors for Treasured Recipes — Across Generations. The feast, featuring dishes prepared by Cebu’s Teresin Mendezona and Tina Ebrada, showed how diverse and luscious Cebu’s culinary heritage is. Amidst the hotel’s well-appointed Café Marco, guests were welcomed to a culinary experience that included Teresin’s pancitala Teresin, mamol and bacalao plus Tina’s famed Golden Cowrie dishes baked tahong and bangus in coco cream, among many others.
The collaboration was a huge success as Cebu’s A-listers and members of the media enjoyed the feast. Thanks to Hans Hauri and his highly-competent team who make any event in Marco Polo Plaza Cebu a legendary gathering.
Way to go, Hans! Congratulations to the Marco Polo Plaza Cebu team!
Another year of Grace
The charming First Credit Consultants Corp. president and Management Association of the Philippines membership committee member Grace Palma-Tiongco marked her natal day with an exquisite Japanese dinner at the award-winning Umu of Dusit Thani Manila. With her lovely guests, among them, fashion designer Jean Goulbourn, Sabrina Artadi, Allied Bank’s Cora Corpus and Richwell Trading Corp.’s Myrna Yao, Grace enjoyed her birthday — chatting in a tatami room with a tranquil view of Umu’s manicured garden and koi fishpond.
Have another blessed year, Grace!
Oslob and the whale sharks
To help the municipality of Oslob sustain its newfound status as a destination for watching whale sharks, Plantation Bay Resorts and Spa, through its GM Efren Belarmino, turned over 40 life jackets in different sizes and 500 pairs of slippers for the use of local and foreign tourists, who are eager to swim with the whale sharks (known locally as butanding or tuki in Cebu).
Oslob is a two-hour drive from the sprawling colonial plantation-style prime vacation destination on Mactan Island, Cebu City. Guided tours to Oslob can be arranged with Plantation Bay.
