Aesthetically functional
Any object that is beautiful should always serve a purpose. Style is always more effective if it has substance.
World-renowned manufacturer of highly distinctive audio, video and multimedia products, Bang & Olufsen, together with its official distributor, Living Innovations, recently showcased its exclusive range of products.
Asia Pacific director Anders Moller Hansen presented the company’s vision set by its founders Peter Bang and Svend Olufsen. Hansen said, “We need to persistently find ways of improvement. We have the courage to constantly question the ordinary in search of the surprising, long-lasting experiences. Thus, the brand only produces designs that are not just aesthetically pleasing, but also essentially functional.”
Bang & Olufsen’s GM Soren Kokholm talked about the development of the products, which deliver real-life picture quality and authentic sound material to an integrated entertainment system.
Robby Mananquil set the mood with his guitar as guests checked out Bang & Olufsen’s impressive range of products. Discounts, available only during that night, were given to interested buyers.

Living wellness
We owe it to ourselves to live well.
With this in mind, Robinsons Supermarket launched its holistic campaign, Living Wellness, at Robinsons Galleria. Guests learned how they could bring wellness in their everyday lives through education via in-store experiences in different Robinsons supermarkets.
The program that was hosted by Gelli Victor featured performances from Christian Bautista, Rayver Cruz and Robinsons Wellness Generation Kid Cha-cha Cañete, while Apples Aberin gave an inspiring talk on health and beauty.
Highlight of the event was the unveiling of the Living Wellness booths, which included Living in Beauty, Living a Happy Home and Living Good Food. Shoppers were also encouraged to help extend wellness to the less fortunate through donations and child sponsorship via the Sharing Wellness Booth in partnership with World Vision, which was represented that night by executive director Elnora Bailen-Avarientos and associate director Jun Godornes.
Lending support to the Living Wellness launch were partners from Unilever Philippines led by chairman and CEO Peter Cowan, VP for corporate affairs Chito Macapagal and VP for customer development Pete Ramos.
Partying for a cause
It was an evening of laughter, camaraderie, theater and visual arts when the Zonta Club of Muntinlupa and Environs (ZCME) partnered with MMQ Theatre Salon for a worthy cause.
The club hosted MMQ’s Salon Series for this year, topbilled by four short romantic comedy plays held in the gardens of O.V. and Marilen Espiritu in Ayala Alabang.
The salon concept was inspired by the French model, whereby a “group of intellectuals, social and cultural elites gather under the roof of an inspiring host to amuse one another and increase their knowledge through conversation and theater.” The delightful short plays featured expatriate and Filipino performers under the direction of MMQ president and founder Michelle Washington and Marsha Hillman. A silent auction that showcased paintings and celebrity memorabilia was also held that night.
The event’s ticket sales and proceeds from the silent auction were donated to ZCME’s flagship project SAGIP, a 24/7 crisis response center for abused women and children.
