A digital Belle-boo party!

Inspired by today’s most famous applications and mobile games, a digital-themed Halloween party was held at the luxurious Tower Ballroom of the five-star The Bellevue Hotel in the Southern Metro. Dynamic brothers, GM Patrick Chan and marketing and communications director Ryan Chan played excellent hosts to this delightful event. Kids in cute, unique and playful thematic costumes enjoyed the fun activities like face painting, glitter tattoo, digital game board, polymer clay art corner, coloring corner, photo balloon as well as a life-size slingshot and games. The children also delighted in the extraordinary magic and comedic performance of Wanlu, the ventriloquist while savoring the themed snack buffet. The program capped off with a raffle of dining and accommodation gift certificates from The Bellevue and the announcement of the best in costume winner who was given an iPad2!

An extraordinary Halloween in paradise

It was one fun and exciting night as the visionary Henry Chusuey, chairman of Hennan Resorts and Boracay Regency Beach Resort and Convention Center, recently celebrated its annual Halloween party at the first triple-A resort in the island paradise. Boracay has been known for celebrating Halloween seriously, with all the flamboyant costumes, wild parties and spectacular parades. The Regency Street became Elm Street as the hotel staff and guests excitedly took part in the revelry by dressing up in interesting costumes. Boracay Regency’s Living Dead group rendered a dance performance while a sumptuous feast was served to the delight of everyone.

Gracing the celebration were beauty queen-turned-actress Bianca Manalo and actor John Prats. See you next year for another fantastic Halloween party at Boracay Regency!

Much-loved birthday girl

Celebrating her natal day at the Hube Hall of the YWCA in Manila was the vibrant Arlene Llasos Jacobo, charter president of the Rotary Club of San Marcelino. The glamorous mother of Philip Henry, Michelle and Ana and doting grandma to Sean Kyle and Enzo is also the Family and Consumers Choice Awards’ Most Outstanding Parent Achiever of the Year awardee.

Among Arlene’s well-wishers are her best friend Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) national president, Gov. Baby Ortiz, Embassy of Japan Consul General Motohiko Kato and Togo Consul Evie Costa. All the best to you, Arlene!

A heartwarming triple celebration

The popular and energetic Inner Wheel Club of Manila (IWCM) president Minerva Tanseco and her good friend Pitang Tiongson recently marked their special days with a joint birthday luncheon at the Oakwood Suites. The celebrators had twice the fun as the ladies, along with their guests, were feted to the hotel’s special menu showcasing the best of its private dining outlets. Meanwhile, the ever busy Minerva also organized a birthday gathering for charming friend, Sonia Recto Lopez. The celebrator was truly happy when the Assumption “Old Girls” came to take part in the occasion. The whole group enjoyed the delectable Japanese lunch while exchanging pleasantries and updates on their lives especially about their families.
