All dressed up for the fight against the Big C

Style and substance reigned as the country’s most stylish men and women recently gathered together for the eighth annual awards ball of the Philippine Cancer Society’s Best Dressed Women of the Philippines at the Rizal Ballroom of Makati Shangri-La. The monumental evening recognized 12 lovely ladies composed of Style Icon Letty Santos, Best Dressed awardees Cris Albert, Marcott Almeda, Alelee Aguilar Andanar, Ruby Jane Chua, Cristina Gomez, Connie Haw, Small Laude, Shelly Lazaro, Len Olbes, Joy Onglatco and Sheila Bermudez Romero who made their mark by helping those in need.

This year’s Ambassadors of Life led by Rose Basa, Tess Castro, Aficionado president and CEO Joel Cruz, Florence Defensor, Noel Gonzales, Gambia Consul Agnes Huibonhoa, Mars Lambino, Jimmy Laya, Nini Layug, lawyer Gilda Lim, Marge Ortiz Luis, Abraham Pascual, Mitzi Piad, Angie Sison, Pitang Tiongson and Oscar Violago also had their own share of the spotlight.

The event was spearheaded by honorary chairman Imelda Cojuangco and event chairman Angola Consul Helen Ong and committee members Mabel Abaño, Tanzania Consul Betty Chua, top fashion designer Roy Gonzales, Sandie Poblador and Roselle Rebano. The event, sponsored by East West Bank, San Miguel Corp. and CATS Motors, Inc., also awarded San Miguel Corp. top honcho Ramon Ang, architect Felino Palafox Jr., Ambassador Amable Aguiluz V and businessman Reghis Romero as this year’s Impeccable Men of Influence.
