THE PEPPER MILL - Pepper Teehankee -

Its valued guests recently got VIP treatment when Seventh High launched its Premiere cards.

The Premiere cards, which come in Black, Silver and Gold, allow cardholders priority access to Seventh High’s Lounge, Club and Club Room by giving them discounts, freebies and invitations to special events throughout the year.

The Club Room opened its doors with music from Seventh High’s resident DJ Buzz of Hollywood while Manila’s famous DJ’s Candice Ang, Mars Miranda and Jena Daza got everyone partying until sunrise at the Club.

Viewing the Star from a vantage point

The crowd was huge and gawked at the fashion walk of Greenbelt 5 as popular stars paraded to attend the launch of the Philip Stein Star Collection and Mark Nicdao’s photography book Vantage. It was the perfect time to introduce the product and the man who shot the ethereal-looking ad of the Philip Stein Star Collection.

Flying in all the way from the Philip Stein headquarters to grace the event was the man behind the brand, Will Stein. Famous wrists seen sporting the Star Collection during the event included Vicki Belo, Kim Chiu, Georgina Wilson, Angel Locsin, Solenn Heussaff, Gretchen Fullido, Ruffa Gutierrez and of course, Philip Stein’s ambassador Kris Aquino.

STAR columnist Tim Yap and Angel Locsin.

As one of Mark’s favorite subjects, Kris Aquino was asked to come up on stage after the photographer’s speech. Kris told the audience where her inspiration for the watch came from. She said the pink dial is symbolic of pure love, femininity and childish innocence. All these are descriptive of her and what she values most — her children and the love they give.

Mark autographed his books at the end of the event. There was also a silent auction where Kris Aquino’s portrait was purchased by Will Stein as an act of appreciation for Kris’ unwavering support for the brand.

‘Success doesn’t need a desk’

It was a mini-vacation treat for friends and technophiles when Nokia launched its latest smartphone, the Nokia E7, with a resort-themed party complete with tall bamboos, ferns, flowers and beach music to set the mood.

The Rizal Ballroom of the Makati Shangri-La was transformed into a perfect vacation getaway reminiscent of a beach resort with guests donning their best resort wear to witness the unveiling of the ultimate smartphone for businessmen. The E7 allows one to “work” during business trips or holidays and even on the road to accomplish office-related tasks.

Guests also enjoyed a Hawaiian-inspired buffet along with a brief presentation. Host David Celdran and Nokia device portfolio manager Mike Smith discussed the features of the Nokia E7.

The innovatively designed smartphone offers a variety of apps that allow businessmen to work with maximum efficiency. It provides direct, secure and real-time access to personal and corporate e-mails and tasks. It features built-in entertainment and social services, and unlimited games and apps at the Ovi store.

During the event, three crowd favorites received travel goodies for having the most stylish resort outfit. Lucky guests also took home Nokia smartphones and the grand prize of a trip for two to Boracay with a three-day, two-night accommodation at Sea Wind Boracay Resort.

Throughout the event, the mobile phone brand was able to effectively communicate the message of Nokia E7’s tagline: “Success doesn’t need a desk, make it everywhere you go.”

The Nokia E7 is available in dark gray and silver white.
