“The Awesome Hunt” is a competition that pits eight teams of celebrities/heavy Internet users against one another in their quest to come up with the most awesome online travel feature that will ignite anyone’s passion for adventure. Identified in partnership with the Department of Tourism, the locations for each team’s journey are set in eight chosen cities where some of 200,000 additional myDSL lines have been installed to get more households hooked on broadband Internet.
Actors Marco Alcaraz and Bela Padilla are going to explore the historic city of Butuan, while Myx VJ Ton Vergel de Dios and actress Ryza Cenon will be taking on the town of Dumaguete. Tech blogger Jayvee Fernandez and actor Luis Alandy will be covering Las Piñas, while the mother-and-son tandem of Dolly Anne Carvajal and IC Mendoza are trooping to Laguna. Manila tour guide and blogger Carlos Celdran and columnist China Cojuangco are visiting Quezon City, while Starstruck alumnus Steven Silva and Eat Bulaga host Daiana Menezes will be checking out Marikina. Magic 89.9 DJ Mojo Jojo and blogger Jane Chua shall get to know Rizal, while dancer-actor Mark Herras and champion car drifter Alex Perez are to coast through Cavite.
Each member of the winning team will receive P50,000, a one-year free PLDT myDSL subscription, a free trip to a popular summer getaway from Cebu Pacific, a brand new Sony Vaio laptop and Sony Cybershot digital camera and a Pizza Party from Yellowcab Pizza Co.

A golden dining experience
Jozu Kin literally means “skillful gold.” For the foodies, however, it means the new Japanese restaurant in Ortigas owned and managed by Anthony and Kristine Meehan, a husband-and-wife team with 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Jozu Kin first opened its doors in September 2008 at Burgos Circle, Bonifacio Global City, headed by chef Jayme Natividad. They opened a second branch at the Ronac Art Center, Ortigas Avenue, Greenhills.
Natividad is a graduate of International Culinary Academy in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and trained under the tutelage of Mario Batali and Wolfgang Puck. Aside from an authentic Japanese menu, Natividad created newly inspired Japanese dishes by fusing them with Italian and French cuisines. He displayed his creations during the Ortigas opening by serving US tenderloin with foie gras, sashimi moriawase, gyu teriyaki taquitos and maguro togarashi sashimi. Drinks served that night were a variety of sake cocktails and Morimoto beer.
