The Philippine Star and Swatch presented two of the 2011 collections of Swatch the Animal collection and the Jeremy Scott collection.
Designer Jeremy Scott is known for outrageous designs favored by celebrities like Lady Gaga, Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, Katy Perry, Rihanna and Christina Aguilera. His three Swatch designs are called Winged, Opulence and Lightning Flash. Both Winged and Opulence have the removable wing and frame for people who prefer to wear their watches in a different way. My favorite is the Lightning Flash.
The Animal collection is a perfect accessory this summer with the Zebra stripes straps and neon color watch faces in blue, yellow, pink, orange and green! The Snake collection is more formal.
A fashion show featured the Swatch watches complemented with clothes from SM’s Fashion Forum. The finale of the show had Swatch endorsers Anne Curtis, Luis Manzano and Billy Crawford modeling the Jeremy Scott collection, which may no longer be available much longer because it is selling so fast! The Lightning Flash was the first to be sold out.
There was a very large crowd at The Atrium of SM Megamall but I still managed to feel comfy and cozy, thanks to the warm welcome of the Swatch group headed by Virgie Ramos, who took time to greet every single guest. Anne, Billy and Luis even sang a cappella to the crowd’s delight!

A heavenly welcome for Seventh High
The Fort has a brand new party place at the edge of Bonifacio High Street on 7th Avenue. Seventh High is that new night spot.
Even with three outlets The Lounge, The Club and The Club Room, which can collectively house 800 people the venue still maintains some sort of exclusivity that one does not get with huge warehouse-like establishments. The three areas are complemented by a variety of entertainment features and unique interiors that lend sophistication to the outlets. Interiors were done by Anton R. Mendoza.
During the well-attended opening night, guests were entertained by Geneva Cruz at The Lounge, DJs Gab Valenciano and Kristian Hernandez at The Club Room and DJ Euric at The Club who opened the set for Miami’s very own Discotech, whose members were especially flown in for the festivities.
Seen at the grand launch to check out their newest hang-out were brothers Phil and James Younghusband who partied with fellow Azkal Anton del Rosario. Arnold Vegafria enjoyed the party with Michele Sison, Ferdi Salvador and Ram de Vera who cheered on Bianca Valerio as she hosted the launch festivities. Others spotted were Borgy Manotoc, Channel V’s JM Rodriguez, Twinky Lagdameo, Alfonso Sy, Tessa Dragon, Lucio Pua, James Yap and Allure’s Philip Cu-Unjieng.
The duo behind the new hot night spot, Lito Trinidad and Jose Haresco, must have truly been in high heavens during that successful opening night.
