MANILA, Philippines - Filfest Cultural Foundation, in partnership with Insular Life, eagerly embarks on its fourth season called ALL-CHESTRA, which will feature outstanding performing artists, all of whom will have an accompanying orchestra.
For the inaugural concert, they present Virginia-based Carlos Alberto Ibay, an inspiring and talented pianist who is also gifted with a rich tenor voice. He made his solo debut at the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ Main Theater in 2004. Carlos speaks seven languages fluently and he learns everything by ear because he has been blind since birth. He has performed in five continents and continues to enthrall his audience with his gift of music.
He will perform Mozart’s piano concerto #23 in addition to singing arias, Neapolitan song and kundiman, all with the Manila Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Arturo Molina.
The concert is scheduled on Feb. 5 at 8 p.m. at the Insular Life Auditorium, Insular Life Corporate Center Building, Filinvest Complex, Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
This is also sponsored by San Miguel Corp., The Embassy of Israel, Rustan’s Group of Companies, Kingsmen, De Leon-Khanna Family Foundation, Shakey’s, Modern Epicurean Kitchen, Bellevue Hotels, Alba’s and Melo’s.
