Bea Tantoco shakes Nuvo

An elegant mixture of R&B, rock and jazz filled Nuvo when Bea Tantoco performed at the bar and restaurant recently. Bea’s performances, held every Wednesday of October, which were presented by Nuvo in collaboration with Bellhaus Entertainment, also had a live band called The Sauce. The band is composed of Marco Cuneta on bass guitar, Daniel Crisologo on lead guitar, Walter de Vera on drums and Jay Casupanan on keyboards.

Bea’s shows were graced by her ever supportive family. Her dad Rico never missed one night and her sister Katrina Tantoco Lobregat was always there to jam with the band.

Bea sang songs such as Alicia Keys’ Empire State of Mind, Maroon 5’s Sunday Morning and Rihanna’s Shut Up and Drive, which showcased her diversity in style and genre. She definitely brought class and soul to her music and performance.

Swipe to better a child’s life

It is always heartwarming to hear about people caring for underprivileged children. The sight of happy children is a balm to the soul.

Recently, RCBC Bankard made sure it would make the indigent children of Barangay Kapitolyo in Pasig happy when it turned over P250,000 to Gawad Kalinga-Sibol.

This touching act of generosity and compassion was made possible through the Diamond Cares advocacy program of the only Platinum card made for women, the RCBC Bankard Diamond MasterCard.

Through Diamond Cares, every P100 charged to an RCBC Bankard Diamond MasterCard generates an automatic donation of 20 centavos in the cardholders’ name to Gawad Kalinga-Sibol, a community-based pre-school program for children aged three to six years.

Leanore Lee, who represented all the RCBC Bankard Diamond MasterCard cardholders during the turnover ceremony, said, “We are blessed that the RCBC Bankard Diamond MasterCard has an advocacy program like Diamond Cares, which allows women to engage in guilt-free shopping knowing that for every peso charged to their card, a portion goes to the education of our youth. The card gives us cardholders the opportunity to be of service to other people without imposing any financial burden. It’s a win-win situation that leads to happiness and fulfillment for all.”

RCBC Bankard works hand in hand with Gawad Kalinga in re-shaping the children’s external environment. It is hoped that the programs will bring about good, responsible and God-centered Filipinos of the future.
