A great gourmet feast

The most discerning diners of the metropolis recently gathered at The Tivoli in Mandarin Oriental Manila, the destination of choice for its great food and impeccable service, for a week-long gastronomic feast. Guests were welcomed by the dapper and hardworking GM Mark Bradford, who was complimented for this extraordinary sumptuous treat that gave Manila’s A-listers a rare dining experience. Gourmands and connoisseurs filled The Tivoli to have a taste of chef Olivier Rodriguez’s stellar dishes recreated from his famous Michelin-star winning menu for Mandarin Oriental Tokyo’s Signature restaurant. Together with executive chef Rene Ottlik and his team, chef Olivier made sure everyone had the most heavenly culinary treats on their plates.

Enchanting birthdays

A combination of vibrant energy and camaraderie recently filled Enchanté Restaurant and Bar by Chef Jessie in Ortigas as Beng Fores and Tereret Tambunting Liboro celebrated their birthdays. Another celebration followed at the New World Hotel for Beng Fores where the endearing group had a grand time to bond over a sumptuous lunch.

Happy birthday Beng and Tereret! Here’s to the next exciting years! Cheers!

Celebrating five decades of art

In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Ateneo de Manila Art Gallery, the first Museum of Modern Philippine Art, the Ateneo de Manila University led by president Fr. Bienvenido Nebres SJ invited friends and art lovers to an awe-inspiring launch and preview of some contemporary works of art. Together with the Ateneo de Manila University Culture and Arts honorary chairperson Ching Montinola, director and chief curator Ramon Lerma, managing curator Yael Buencamino and University communication and public relations office director Sonia Araneta, art and music aficionados were treated to the world premiere of In the Eye of Modernity music composed by Francis de Veyra and the unveiling of a sculpture by National Artist Arturo Luz to honor Fernando Zobel de Ayala. The unveiling was done by guest of honor Ayala Corp. chairman emeritus Don Jaime Zobel de Ayala and Tessie Luz. The occasion also featured the exclusive preview of the landmark exhibition of Lee Aguinaldo In Retrospect.
