Love knows no boundaries, and that is what Todd Shaw and Katrina Vargas recently proved when they tied the knot at the very serene Holy Rosary Parish in the paradise island of Boracay. Guests were treated to the sight of Katrina’s stunning bridal gown made by Manuel Mota of Pronovias Barcelona, Spain and to an endearing “Opo, Father” from Todd when he answered the marital vows. Among the sponsors were PLDT chairman Manuel Pangilinan and lawyer Opap Villonco. Proud parents David Andrew and Janet Lindhorn Shaw and Ricky and Gloria Vargas were all ecstatic during Todd and Katrina’s union. A sumptuous and heart-warming reception followed at the Shangri-La’s Boracay Resort and Spa where a breathtaking fireworks display left the guests in awe.
To Todd and Katrina, here’s to a delightful married life. Cheers!
Past DFA secretaries honored
As a tribute to past secretaries of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), busts depicting their images were unveiled recently at the DFA office in Pasay City. A brainchild of Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto Romulo, the unveiled busts included that of Ambassadors Domingo Siazon Jr. and Delia Albert who were both present in the ceremony. Former secretaries Teofisto Guingona and the late Blas Ople received the same honors. Also present during the unveiling was lawyer Susan “Toots” Ople, daughter of the late secretary Blas Ople. Cheers!

The charming couple Dodi and Angie Sison recently renewed their vows for their 25th wedding anniversary right where they first said “I do” to each other, at the historical San Agustin Church in Intramuros, Manila. The couple was joined by their handsome sons Paolo, Alvin and David in the celebration. Among the sponsors and guests were the couple’s family, close friends and relatives including Josie Palma, Boni Pimentel, Grace Palma Tiongco and Yolly Reyes. Here’s to more blissful years ahead.
