Priests and their families sing their hearts out for a cause. The members of the Parents of Priests Association Inc. (PAPA) headed by Letty Syquia recently held a benefit concert that will lend a hand to the seminarians, the elderly and to retired sick priests. Aptly titled Night of Music, the concert was a night full of great performances. His Eminence Gaudencio Cardinal Rosales also gave an inspirational talk. What took place was more than what the audience expected as the members of PAPA sang their hearts out in a performance that showed no evidence of age. A very remarkable event that will help strengthen our Catholic faith.
Cheers! Eagles shine with Golden Jubilee
The senior Blue Eagles recently kicked off their Golden Jubilee celebration with an early morning wreath-laying ceremony at the statue of Evelio Javier along Roxas Boulevard. Javier, former governor of Antique, was a distinguished member of the batch and People Power martyr. To commemorate their five decades since graduating from Ateneo High School (AHS), the Golden Jubilarians were able to come up with very meaningful activities that successfully “made noise” apart from Ateneo’s 150th year. All throughout the evening, the Golden Jubilarians were accompanied by probably millions of blue twinkling lights that hang from the branches of the trees at the AHS grounds, an apt tribute to how the Jesuits stoked the fires of youthful passion for learning among Class ’59 alumni five decades ago.
Congratulations!
The gateway to your dream lifestyle
City living will take on a new meaning as Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC), spearheaded by president and COO Frederick Go, recently held the groundbreaking of its innovative project — Gateway Regency at its future site, the Robinsons Cybergate Center Complex, EDSA corner Pioneer St., Mandaluyong City. Other RLC projects in the Cybergate Complex are Gateway Garden Ridge, Gateway Garden Heights and One Gateway Place. Congratulations!
FCCP’s monthly birthday cheers!
When not busy attending cultural shows and events, the energetic ladies of the Friends for Cultural Concerns of the Philippines (FCCP) led by president Minerva Tanseco, take time off their fully-booked schedules to party and socialize. Each month, the group heads to a new and undiscovered destination to honor the birthday celebrators. Just recently, they went to Choi Gardens in Greenhills for an intimate birthday gathering filled with gaiety, great camaraderie and of course, the most sumptuous dishes in town. Cheers! A windy paradise
A great time in Boracay is not just about fun at the beach, it can also be a moment to learn interesting facts about the past. Ruby Chua and her endearing family recently did that when they visited the captivating Sea Wind resort. Headed by the good-natured president Boy Jarantilla and his beautiful wife Ruth, the resort has a lot of things to offer to its guests. Ruby’s family found the island’s only museum of artifacts owned by the Tirol family who were the first settlers of the island. Pieces dating back to the barter trade system can be found in this extraordinary museum.
See you there!
