A merry Gerry party

The ideal host, everyone’s muy simpatico amigo, art patron, astute businessman and realtor Gerry Contreras celebrated his birthday in the posh enclave of his favorite party abode, the G Hotel’s ballroom in Malate. The splendid affair, which gathered ultra glamorous VIP guests in the hundreds, served as a proper tribute to the man who has done so much for the less fortunate. As a gesture of gratitude, and in appreciation of Gerry’s extraordinary achievements, a celebratory toast were proposed by his numerous close friends led by Mabel Abaño, Jose Mari Lacson, George Sison, Grace Palma Tiongco and Johnny Valdes. Providing entertainment during the lively birthday party were performers Jonathan Badon and The Tales of Music Ensemble headed by Bojo Luzentales. What a great evening for an equally great man! Happy birthday, Gerry!

Burgers and bottles

Long-time journalist and restaurateur Murray Hertz recently held a very successful Burger and Wine event at the cozy Murray & D’Vine in Serendra, which he co-owns with business partner Titania Wine Cellar chairman Tita Trillo. This part-burger joint and part-wine place, serving both gourmet burgers and luxe wines, is a small two-story space intimate enough to be a date place and cozy enough to be a chill-out spot. Friends and guests were seen having countless toasts while chomping on huge bites of colossal juicy burgers. Congratulations!

The main lobby of A. Venue Mall was recently the scene of an exciting intellectual discourse for the Dr. Mom Health Journal book launch. Spearheaded by the dapper Antel Group of Companies vice president for marketing and sales Felino Lao and director for marketing Allan Marasigan, guests were fascinated with the mall’s cozy facilities and convenient location as they learned the importance of monitoring a child’s health-related growth from author Dr. Crickette Palanca-Chen.
