A rite of ‘Passage’
One of the country’s finest and most creative sculptors, Daniel dela Cruz, recently unveiled his latest works at the Artistspace of the Ayala Museum. Entitled Passage, dela Cruz’s fifth one-man exhibit presented the human figure in extreme acts of emotional moods as created in electroplated chrome and nickel. Cutting the ribbon during the opening were multi-awarded artist Juvenal Sanso, Rizal Gov. Casimiro “Jun-Jun” Yñares III, TV host Edu Manzano and Sari Yap. Renowned stage actress Carla Guevara and Are You the Next Big Star? finalist Nikki Guevara, the artist’s sisters-in-law, serenaded the guests during the opening.

At par with the pastry best
A victory party to celebrate the Pastry Alliance of the Philippines’ (PAP) success in the recently concluded Asia’s 1st Culinary Cup was held at the Enderun Colleges in Fort Bonifacio. Led by president Buddy Trinidad and vice president James Antolin, together with silver medalist for pastry showpiece Penk Ching, the event also served as the group’s official launch as the country’s most dynamic advocate of Filipino talent in baking and pastry arts. A beery halloween at the beach
