Getting to know Manny

Just last week, the “Team Villar Ngayon Na,” headed by Allana Lopez Montelibano, Raffy Florencio and Nikki Romero, together with members Ferdie Lagman, Cons Tang, Earl Medina, Louie Kaw, Robert Castañeda and Robbie Carmona, hosted a “getting to know the senator” night at the headquarters of the Nacionalista Party. The affair was held at the former mansion of former President Jose Laurel on Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City.

The senator they wanted people to get to know better was obviously presidentiable Manny Villar. About 400 guests attended the event as the senator gave his views on the business sector, entrepreneurship and hope for Filipinos to succeed in business, just like he did. Guests got to know the senator as a father and a businessman. They heard his simple, inspiring and heartfelt speech. Lawyer Adel Tamano also gave an insightful speech about the senator.

Erica Araneta Concepcion led the program by singing the national anthem in a short program hosted by STAR columnist RJ Ledesma. Guests feasted on a buffet entirely donated by friends of the Villar family. Providing entertainment for the special night were violinist Coke Bolipata and the Pundaquit Children’s Choir.
