Swatch's new leading man

Swatch launched leading man John Lloyd Cruz as its newest endorser for its Fall/Winter 2009 Collection. John Lloyd chose to endorse Swatch because its timepieces perfectly match his lifestyle.

The Swatch Fall/Winter 2009 collection was on display at the trendy bar/restaurant The Establishment. Showcased pieces represented different collection themes like The Edge of Adventure and the Artist’s Collection.

John Lloyd’s first Swatch was a Purple Pop Swatch, which was given to him when he was only seven years old. His current favorite Swatch timepiece is Swatch Mental Fame. The dark blue leather strap of this bestseller Irony Chrono Retrograde has a textured surface with white stitching and meshes snugly with the polished case and bezel, both in stainless steel.

Swatch endorsers Mikee Cojuangco-Jaworski and Billy Crawford hosted the show wherein guests and the press were able to ask John Lloyd personal questions to get to know him better. He talked about his travels and his fashion choices and also said that he was happiest when he could spend a day with his family while gathered around a festive table with his favorite dishes.

An array of Swatch watches from the current collection was raffled during the event as Swatch impresario Virgie Ramos said that she is very excited about the new leading man for Swatch and expects more amazing things to come.

The birthday girl, a self confessed “legally blonde chick,” certainly knows how to give a treat to her friends. Barcino at The Fort was the first stop to enjoy hours of tapas and wine at this popular Spanish bar. Having their fill there, the troupe moved to nearby Members Only to meet more friends and celebrate her birthday all the more!

Champagne was overflowing along with funky masks and fun giveaways. There was also a fireworks display. But more than that were heartfelt birthday wishes for her.

Nu Vogue

It’s a brand new Wednesday at Nu Vo in Greenbelt 2 as it launched Nu Vogue. Each night has a different fashion theme which features any high fashion item worn from head to toe — from hair to skincare products to fragrances to bags to accessories to designer clothes to shoes, or just about anything that makes one stylish and trendy.

Nu Vogue kicked off with New York’s finest brands Maybelline and Kiehl’s Since 1851, both under L’Oreal Philippines. Both brands gave away samples to the attendees and awarded a Maybelline New York gift pack to three Female Personalities of the Night and a Kiehl’s facial set to the Male Personality. Drink sponsor Finlandia Premium Vodka raffled off fabulous T-shirts that had Untouched, Unspoiled, and Pure written on them.

The second night had Barcino as a sponsor for the Cava Vallformosa alongside Premier Wines & Spirits’ Amarula which sold shots for P80 only. Ralph Lauren Romance Always Yours was the retail sponsor and gave away samples to everyone and awarded a bottle to TGI Friday’s Chay Buensuceso for being the Female Personality of the Night. Thinline’s Frank Briones bagged Male Personality of the Night and won for himself a bottle of Cava Vallformosa.

Event organizer and host Edda Joyce Garcia recommends everyone to make Nu Vogue @ Nu Vo a new habit as each Wednesday will have different sponsors for giveaways, raffles, and awards thus making each night something to look forward to every week. Wednesday nights at Nu Vo are the Nu Vogue for you!
