Should hair be straight or curly?
A great debate was mounted during the launch of Sunsilk’s Style Collection for straight and curly hair types held recently at the Rockwell Tent. Two teams represented each hair type with the animated participants such as Basement Salon’s Stefan Wilczynski, actress-turned-singer Nancy Castiglione and Agoo Bengzon for Team Straight and Tinette Salon’s Tinette Puyat, comedienne Wilma Doesnt and Erica Paredes for Team Curly. Guys were asked their opinion, too: Marc Nelson preferred straight while Stephen Ku preferred curly.
London’s acclaimed “People’s Hairdresser” Andrew Barton flew in for the event to share the inside story on the product range which he helped develop within a three-year period.
Andrew says: “These styling products are great whether you have straight or curly hair. You can style your hair in a snap without too much fuss. I know Filipino women will love them because I see how glamorous and fashionable you are.”
To demonstrate this, Andrew did a hair makeover on volunteer Crissy Miguel, taking him five minutes to transform her wavy hair into another eye-catching style.
In the end, it really didn’t matter if a woman’s hair was straight or curly as Sunsilk had an entire line of hair products for both hair types. Sunsilk’s celebrity endorsers Marian Rivera (for curly hair) and Heart Evangelista (for straight hair) were perfect head turners for the Sunsilk Style Collection, which promises styling in a snap.
