A bountiful Moon Festival

The full moon shone the brightest that night as dapper president Rey Villar and GM Hans Hauri of the Marco Polo Plaza Cebu, the leisure destination of choice in the Queen City of the South, recently hosted Conferie La Chaine Des Rotisseurs. The hotel’s Grand Ballroom was transformed into an inviting open field resembling the scenery of the French market wherein baskets of fruits and vegetables were laid out carefully in checkered linen tables with floral centerpieces. Celebrating one of the most ancient and festive rituals in the world, guests embraced the year’s bountiful harvest as they enjoyed the splendid evening’s occasion which was filled with soulful music, flavorful wines and scrumptious French cuisine. Congratulations for another excellent affair at the Marco Polo Plaza Cebu!

A Kitchen with a cause

Famous and upcoming Filipino chefs, caterers, coffee and wine suppliers, seasonal “chefs,” as well as the country’s premier hospitality management school, recently came together for an even bigger culinary gala of world cuisines at the Pink Kitchen II. Organized by the I Can Serve Foundation and its team led by Bettina Osmeña and sponsored by Enderun Colleges, the food festival was supervised by chef See Cheong Yan and F&B manager of Enderun’s training restaurant Chad Davis. Congratulations!

Pecabar turns 25

To celebrate Pecabar’s 25th anniversary, the firm recently hosted a sumptuous dinner for all its lawyers and non-legal staff at the Tower Club. Coincidentally, Pecabar’s founding anniversary is also the wedding anniversary of its founding partner, Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile. Pecabar recognized and gave distinction to its dedicated members, particularly those who have stayed with the firm for 25 years. It was a night of good food, wine, music, dancing, laughter and cheers.

Congratulations!

Johnny says, ‘Check this out’

With Christmas just around the bend, the month of November is just perfect to chill and prepare for the coming holiday season. The place to do just that is at Liberty Center, the ultra chic place to hang out with your friends which is located at 312 Shaw Boulevard, just behind the Archbishops Palace. It will feature the swinging soulful music of Silk on Nov. 21, while the energized pop and alternative country music of Seal of Benjamin takes charge on Nov. 28. See you there!
