What better way to celebrate 75 successful years of providing top of the line creation than coming up with a fun and exciting 2008 Lacoste collection?
Known for its tennis shirts, Lacoste held the Press-Celebrity Manila Invitational Open Tennis Tournament at the Power Plant Mall in Rockwell. The team of Jen Rosendahl and Manny delos Reyes became the champion with the tandem of Anthony Suntay and Angelu de Leon as their runner-up. A tennis clinic was also held to jumpstart that day with Davis Cup players Johnny Arcilla and PJ Tierro and head instructor Chase Tinio.
Other celebrities who graced the event were Mylene Dizon, Regine Tolentino, AJ Dee, Paolo Paraiso, Marco Alcaraz, Pinoy Big Brother’s Say Alonzo, Mariana del Rio, host Drew Arellano, Chynna Ortaleza, Railey Valeroso, Denise Laurel, LJ Moreno and Mel Martinez.
A fashion show also unveiled the latest timepieces from the Lacoste Basel Watch 2008 Collection, as well as the limited edition Lacoste 75th Anniversary watch that comes in a black and sleek design. Lucerne Group, the exclusive distributor of Lacoste watches, limited its availability to only 50 units in the Philippines.
Movado Group for Asia Pacific GM Esther Teh said: “We are proud to unveil the latest collection here in Manila. We made sure that this collection combines sophistication, elegance and functionality living up to what the brand carries.”
The Basel Watch collection evokes the vibrant colors of the sun and sea with its nautical designs billed as Harbor, Anchor, Seaport, Glam Twist, Swing, Advantage and Pop Time.
Each one of these fine timepieces has one-of-a-kind styles and features to fit any personality, mood or occasion. These watches are available in all L Timestudio stores and Lacoste boutiques nationwide.
True colors
In an Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) and De La Salle University (DLSU) game, avid team fans don the bold colors of blue and green with pride. Because of the frenzy created when these two teams play, Adidas, the official outfitter of both ADMU and DLSU varsity teams, came up with the team wear apparel including hooded jackets, polo shirts, game jerseys, graphic tee shirts and caps.
Adidas managing director Joey Singian says: “Ateneo-La Salle matches have always been the most celebrated games in the history of the UAAP. Theirs is the greatest rivalry in the league that never fails to bring alumni and basketball fans alike together in the spirit of school support, fellowship and sportsmanship. We are very excited to be working with both teams.”
The UAAP season is over but these timeless designs can be worn for next season or every day! The team wear apparel is available in all Adidas brand stores, department stores and athletic specialty shops nationwide.
