A wife, mother, philanthropist, businesswoman and friend, Mely gracefully welcomes each passing year with her simple and down-to-earth demeanor. This incomparable lady recently spent her special day with dapper husband, Olympian and one of Rotary International’s moving spirits Paing Hechanova, and other friends and family at the North Forbes Pavilion, where equally eminent personalities in the world of business, society and culture paid tribute to her various accomplishments.

Moving masterpieces

To the sheer delight of car enthusiasts and art aficionados, BMW, the world’s finest driving experience, recently launched the Philippine exhibition of the world-famous BMW Museum in an exclusive event at the Ayala Museum in Makati. Glass-encased scale models of art-cars were featured along with "rolling sculptures by renowned international artists." The evening also marked the introduction of the new president of BMW Philippines: the dynamic Andreas Biehler, who takes over from hardworking Dr. Joerg Breuer. Spotted enjoying the exquisite artworks were Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita, Secretary Cerge Remonde and Sen. Franklin Drilon, as well as BMW Philippines chairman Jose Ch. Alvarez and Star EVP Grace Glory Go.
