A Speedo splash

Speedo presented its Spring-Summer 2007 collection with a fashion show held at the residence of British Ambassador Peter Beckingham. Ambassador Beckingham and his wife Jill, together with Speedo’s VP for operations Manish Mahtani, welcomed the guests who were treated to nouveau Japanese cuisine by Red Kimono.

Guests watched energetic models strut the catwalk in five different Speedo lines: "Melbourne" collection to celebrate the 12th FINA World Championships; "Beach Volleyball" collection that is named after the sport; "Mind.Body.Speedo" collection for spa and gym enthusiasts; "Speedo Wetsuits" collection for multi-sport individuals; and "Rio," a Brazilian carnival-inspired collection.

Speedo stores are located in Glorietta 4, SM Megamall, Ayala Alabang Town Center, Robinsons Place Manila, The Podium, SM Mall of Asia, Eastwood, Gateway Mall, Bonifacio High Street, Ayala Center Cebu, SM City Cebu, SM City Davao, Chimes, SM City Cagayan de Oro, Robinsons Bacolod and Paseo de Sta. Rosa.

Women’s Day with Mercedes-Benz

During the first ever Women’s Day hosted by Mercedes-Benz, four women were exemplified in their choice of cars and preference for scents. Mercedes-Benz marketing manager Apple Ting and Marionnaud Philippines country operations manager Paolo Abad did a joint presentation on the various choices women have in terms of cars and scents based on their personality.

Four Mercedes-Benz models were paired with four personality types: the B-Class for the practical woman, the E-Class for the executive career woman, the CLS-Class for the trendy fashionista and the M-Class for the adventurous woman. Marionnaud Mall of Asia enticed the women with four exciting scents from Bulgari Omnia Amethyste for the career woman, CK One Electric for the adventurous woman, Salvatore Ferragamo Incanto Charms for the practical woman and Burberry London for the fashionista.

Guests were treated to Gourmet Foods’ fresh salad bar followed by Cascada’s. They all left with goody bags from Mercedes-Benz, Marionnaud and Gourmet Foods.

Ministry of style

The Cream Silk Ministry of Style is a collaboration of hairstyling experts headed by hairstylist for Hollywood stars Steven Lake, who now stars in Cream Silk’s latest TV commercials, and four of the country’s top hairstylists: Angelo Justin of Basement Salon, Roland dela Peña of Franck Provost, Joemar Enabacan of Salon de Manila at Somerset Hotel and Cherry Reyes of Toni and Guy.

These experts all agree that styling your own hair isn’t as difficult as you think it is, especially with the Cream Silk Flexi-Hold Leave-Ons. Cream Silk Ministry of Style was presented in an event at the New World Hotel. Four women graced the occasion to represent each of the four variants: Ornusa Cadness for the Lite Fix Spritzer, Bianca King for Instant Straight Serum, Pauleen Luna for Extra Control Gel Crème and Cheska Garcia for the Smooth Defense Crème. These four women believe that the different Cream Silk Flexi-Hold Leave-On conditioners empower them to be their own stylists and allow them to have the hairstyle they want when they want it.
