Crocs is finally in Manila! Crocs Philippines celebrated the opening of its new store at the Bonifacio High Street, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig by throwing a festive family affair. Guests enjoyed an afternoon of face painting, fire show, game booths, jumping inflatables, clowns and magicians. Zagu, Mantou, Waffle Time and Fruit Magic treated and gave out delicious drinks and goodies.

Crocs even took the Christmas spirit to heart as guests were asked to bring toys and special gifts for the children of World Vision Philippines. Along with the store’s launch, The Colorado brand also welcomed to their collection Maryjanes and Offroads. Mabuhay Miles Elite golf invitational

Mabuhay Miles Elite member, Dr. Larry Tojino, outclassed a record of 355 players and won the 2006 Mabuhay Miles Elite Invitational Golf Tournament. He scored a gross 75 to emerge low gross champion, while three-time former titlist Valeriano Floro carded a net 69 on a gross round of 83 to take overall net honors. The two bested a field of Elite and Premier Elite members of PAL’s Mabuhay Miles who competed in the event sponsored by Adidas Philippines, Airbus, Boeing, GE Aviation, HSBC, Mizuno and Petron Corp.

Class B produced a three-way tie at the top with Masahito Hamaguchi, Wilfred Pacpaco and Marvin Caparros all finishing with a net 71.

Class C had all three top finishers submitted identical net 71s. The division crown was won by Cebu’s Insuphil Industrial Corp.’s Armando Serafin over architect Daniel Go and realtor Severino Oliva. Class D was topped by Cinderella Marketing’s Richie Santos with a net 70 over Airlift Asia’s Alfonso Santiago who carded a 72, and Fernando Sison who submitted a 73. Elvira Liboro ruled the ladies’ division with an impressive 75 out of a gross 93 while Venjo Reyes Jr. took the guests’ division with a net 68 from a gross 80.

The tournament’s corporate sponsors were Allied Bank, Department of Tourism, LG Electronics, Panasonic Avionics, Smart Communications and Wide Wide World Express/DHL. American Express Bank, Boehringer Ingelheim, Cross, Nestle Philippines, Pacific Paint (Boysen), Spring, Tanduay Distillers, U-Freight Philippines and Visa International were the event’s minor sponsors. ‘Most’ wanted

When they were together at the Ateneo College of Law, classmates Liza Marcos, Jojo Ochoa, Ed Serapio and Joseph Tan talked about forming a law partnership amongst them. Their dream came true 25 years later when they opened the Marcos Ochoa Serapio & Tan Law Firm. Father Joaquin Bernas S.J. officiated the blessing of their New York style office at the 30th floor of Tycoon Centre in Pasig City. The ribbon cutting ceremony was led by Ilocos Norte Gov. After the blessing, the guests moved to the Wack-Wack Golf and Country Club for cocktails and dinner. Friends and family members were serenaded by the UP Singing Ambassadors. Guests grooved to the Brazilian music belted by Eileen Sison and the Guarama Band. Several prominent businessmen and political personalities showed up to lend their support to the newly established law firm. Considering the event lasted until way past midnight, it was truly a success!
