Twenty and First, in the 21st century

What is the connection between Yoga and flying (and its not the levitation kind)?
Plenty, if we were to look at Philippine Airlines new ad campaign created by Kad.
Philippine Airlines, the acknowledged guru of Philippine aviation, has acquired 20 brand-new Airbus 319/320 aircraft. And its not your usual off-the-shelf jets. Officials of Airbus and Philippine Airlines have confirmed that these are the newest models with the 21st century Enhanced Cabin the first ever to be introduced in the Philippines and Asia.
So, where does yoga come in?
Jess Garcia, advertising AVP of PAL, explains that the new fleet reflects the yoga philosophy of total well-being.
The 21st century Enhanced Cabin design is well-thought out and enhances the pleasure of traveling. The seats are made by RECARO (that gives you an idea of how uncompromising PAL is when it comes to quality). The cabin is more spacious, allowing passengers, especially in Economy class, more room to stretch in. And the in-flight entertainment system is equipped with the eFX by Panasonic.
Bong Cruz, PAL VP for marketing, points out that only Philippine Airlines offers Business Class seats on domestic routes. With this come the added perks and privileges of riding Business Class, like: enjoying audio-video on demand where the passenger can have his/her preferences for film features and music; quality in-flight nourishments; and even in-seat power ports for laptops. Business Class passengers and guests can also enjoy the amenities (and comfort foods!) of the Mabuhay Lounge.
Then, there is the fresh and soothing interior design of the new A319/320. What could be more relaxing than being in a cabin that reminds one of the sand, sea and surf of our beautiful country? If that isnt transcendental meditation, what is?
PAL president Jaime B. Bautista said it succinctly in his speech during the roll-out ceremonies of the A319 wherein President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo was guest of honor: "Philippine Airlines was the first airline in Asia. It was the first Asian airline to cross the Pacific. It was the first to fly to Europe. Now, it is also the first to introduce the Enhanced Cabin in the Philippines and Asia."
With its 20-strong brand-new domestic fleet, Philippine Airlines is distinguishing itself with another first and taking Filipinos to the 21st century of air travel.
