Fun at the park

OH YES, IT'S JOHNNY! - Johnny Litton -
Over 240 children, along with their parents and guardians, had a truly grand experience at the Easter Family Day in Heritage Park, the country’s most innovative and elegant memorial park, in Fort Bonifacio. After a celebration of the Eucharistic Mass by Bishop Joseph Galaroza, families from all over Metro Manila had loads of fun participating in the much-awaited Easter Egg Hunt, as well as roaming the park’s vast open spaces while enjoying the picturesque surroundings. Prizes were given to participants who found the most number of multi-colored Easter Eggs. The day finished off with a fun-filled Bubble Show. Aside from the day’s activities, families also enjoyed fishing at the park’s serene lagoon and flying kites along the park’s smooth lawns.

See you next Easter!
Art & sport
An afternoon of sophistication took place at the Manila Polo Club recently for the Fila Polo Cup 2006, led by Fila president Butch Albert accompanied by the beautiful Cris Albert. The country’s most beautiful faces gathered for a friendly game of polo and a fabulous fashion show featuring Fila’s new "L’ Arte Nello Sport" Spring-Summer Collection. Free-flowing food and drinks, an Ashtanga Yoga performance and of course, the all-important polo match made for an afternoon of fun and excitement. The fierce but friendly game resulted in a victory for the White Team composed of Vincent Bitong, Tonio Veloso, Iñigo Zobel and Jose Constantino.

Congratulations to you and to Fila!
Cheers to new friends
Filipinos are one of the friendliest people in the world – our ready smiles, warmth and hospitality known throughout the world. Three of the friendliest and most elegant Filipinas I know, Consuls Helen Ong of Angola, Mellie Ablaza of Guatemala and Evie Costa of Togo, tendered a welcome lunch for Madames Martine Verdakis of Belgium, Monica de Costa of Brazil and Anila Naeem Khan of Pakistan. Held at the fabulous residence of Helen in Forbes Park, the cheerful gathering openly received our new friends from the diplomatic sector.

Mabuhay
and welcome to the Philippines!
Tara shines
The young and talented rising star Tara Tambunting, daughter of Joselito and lawyer Victoria Tambunting, is a very visible persona and now belongs to Manila’s most invited list. Following in the footsteps of her fabulous grand-aunt Tereret Liboro, Tara graces the most elegant and exclusive parties, one of which is the Queen’s Heart launch of Rafael Jewellery at Shangri-La Makati. After her very successful first major concert at the Music Museum in Greenhills, Tara is sure to shine like the brilliant star that she is!

Hellos and goodbyes
A sweet farewell for someone near and dear –the super gracious and thoughtful Senn couple, Louie and Marilou, tendered an intimate despedida party for Louie’s sister Maite Senn Osborne. A resident of New York, this charming lady occasionally visits her family and friends in the Philippines. The enjoyable sit-down dinner was filled with laughter and good cheer as old friends catch up on each other’s activities.

Come back soon, Maite!

Ladies of compassion
From gala affairs to religious ceremonies and outreach projects, count on foremost Filipina philanthropists to give their share and offer their valuable presence. The ageless lady of sophistication and two-time Papal awardee Meldy Cojuangco can always be counted on to make a rare appearance if it’s for a worthy cause, as well the ever active and energetic Minerva Tanseco. Compassionate and selfless, too, are the Forbes Park Ladies and parishioners of the Santuario de San Antonio who get together and plan elaborate social affairs to benefit the needy. You truly inspire us!
